Open Water Diver

The PADI® Open Water Diver course is the most popular entry-level scuba diving certification in the world. As the first step on your diving journey, it's designed for beginners who are eager to learn how to safely explore the underwater world. Over the course, you'll gain both the practical skills and theoretical knowledge needed to dive with confidence—whether you're at home or on a tropical getaway.
What will you learn?
The course consists of three main components:
Knowledge development: Before you jump into the water, you'll learn the basics of scuba diving. This includes how diving works, how to stay safe, and how to use the equipment. It's all done at your own pace, either in the classroom or online.
Confined water dives: These are 5 practice sessions in a pool or shallow water, where you'll get hands-on experience with diving equipment. Under 1-1 private instruction, you'll learn the essential skills—such as buoyancy control, breathing techniques, and how to handle basic diving situations.
Open water dives: This is where the fun really begins. You'll head into open water (like a lake, ocean, or lagoon) to make your first real dives. During these 4 separate dives, you'll demonstrate your skills and gain the confidence to dive independently in the future.
