Dooneen Pier

Dooneen Pier is a majestic spot located on the Sheep's Head Peninsula in West Cork. Situated just under 2 km from the village of Kilcrohane, the pier offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The sheltered waters also make it an ideal spot for snorkelling and diving, with easy sea access via steps at the pier.
Dooneen Pier provides a wide variety of marine life, you can expect to see; crayfish, lobster, shrimp, spider crabs, seals, jewel anemones, sea caves, congers, pollock, mackerel, and even dolphins on the rare occasion.
The average depth at this dive site is around 12m, with a possible 20m on offer at high tide.
