What is Discover Scuba® Diving?
Discover Scuba® Diving is a fun, introductory experience designed for beginners who want to try scuba diving in a relaxed and controlled environment. You'll learn the basics of scuba diving, like how to use equipment and communicate underwater, all with the guidance of a certified instructor.
What's involved in a Discover Scuba® Diving experience?
You don't need any prior experience to take part in a Discover Scuba® Diving experience! Once you have completed your eLearning introduction to scuba diving, we will arrange a date to meet up in the calm, shallow waters of Oysterhaven or Roberts Cove. On the day, we will go through the following:
- Fitting your equipment: Learn how to use a mask, fins, and tank, and get comfortable with your gear.
- Safety first: You'll be shown key safety procedures, like equalizing your ears and hand signals for underwater communication.
- Breathing underwater: A huge highlight for most people—feeling weightless and breathing easily underwater is a surreal experience.
- Exploring the underwater world: Once you're comfortable, you'll get to experience the beauty of the underwater environment.

- Fun and relaxing: The experience is designed to be fun and stress-free, so there's no pressure to be perfect. The practical dive usually lasts around 30 minutes, and you will be receiving 1-1 instruction for the duration of this activity.
